extra cheap KYB GR2's worth it?

I'm replacing my k-member with a UMI one because I bent the stocker (when I slid into a curb) and while im at it i'm going to lower the front because it's sitting about 3/4" higher than the back (sub box/winter weight/sagging) and I want some rake. Anyways, I found a set of four KYB GR2 shocks locally that haven't been used and the guy wants $160 for them. Is it worth it to buy them since I'm already tearing the front apart? I don't wanna start another "which shock" thread. It's either these or i'll stay with the stock 180,000 kilometer deCarbons.
Only considering these since there down the road and cheap.
Thanks in advance for any input.

i have gr2's on the rear of my lowered trans am and they are really soft. its good for the rear cause they help me hook really well and squat. personally i wouldnt go for them in the front they are to soft. i have kyb agx of something like that on the front of mine. they are the upgraded gr2's and are 8-way adjustable. i love them. still give a great ride and handle great around bends. mine were about 200 for them new so thats what i would do

I have them on mine and they ride decent. Car handles really good but when it comes time to a shitty paved road they aren't the greatest. (my car is lowered so that's why it doesn't do the greatest on bad roads but the shocks feel really good during day to day driving.

id keep the stockers and save money for some bilsteins, the gr2 wont do what you want it too, not adequate for stock springs never mind lowering springs for the front. id save money till i could get something better if I were you just my opinion though.

For the 160.00 youd spend on the gr-2's you can get a pair of the agx's for the front. They are adj. and will work 100 times better for the lowered front than the crappy gr-2's. Trust me i did the same and they only lasted me about a year with a 1.5'' drop in the front before they bit the bullet and i had to buy the agx's.
