Default LT1 to LS1 brake swap. Did a search.

Hey guys, trying to feel out some better braking for my aging toy. Thought about going with some better rotors/pads but I've done that before and the results were only meh.

For a brake swap I need what exactly to switch over completely to LS1 front and rear brakes?
LS1 spindles, calipers, rotors, master cylinder?, what else...

For the front you would need:
LS1 Spindles, Calipers, Flex lines, and Rotors.

For the rear you would need:
LS1 Backing Plates, Parking Brake Shoes and associated Hardware, Calipers, Flex lines, and Rotors.

I am fairly sure the LT1 master cylinder is adequate, as people use the LS1 Master Cylinder for CTS-V applications.

yeah you dont need the master if your doing the front. not sure about the rear. The only real advantage to doing the rear swap is the parking brake is a better design(for the manual guys.)

You will also need the parking brake cable setup.

To me, the biggest advantage of doing the four wheel brake setup is the ease of getting parts. It's hard enough getting multiple parts for one car at a parts store, imagine getting multiple parts, for multiple cars...
