Default Koni Double adjustable shocks

I just bought a set of used Double adjustable front and rear shocks. I was told that if I twist the top of the shock where a little round tip comes out that it will adjust the compression? I didn't seen anything on koni's website that talked about that. Maybe I missed it.

Now the adjustment on the bottom of the rear shock adjusts the rebound, correct?

I'm tired of bottoming out when I hit a bump so I want to adjust these shocks to where I won't. I have strano springs as well.

You'll get tired of running with compression that's too high too most likely. Increasing the compression isn't meant to be used to prevent bottoming out. What springs do you have? What bumpstops do you have?
