Default Brake upgrade ????

Need expert advice...I have a 1994 firebird 3.4L that came
stock with rear drums. I just bought some c6 Z06 rims for it and want to
ditch the drums for a much better disc setup. My question is - What is
needed to do this conversion. I have seen several SS/TA partouts in the
classified section that I would be able to get a set from, I'm just
curious to what is needed from either to make them work(apart from the
given like calipers, rotors, new lines). Thanks for ANY information.

I dont know for sure but you may want to look up a proportioning valve to get the right bias.

Ok so i've been searching around and found these:
http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...20Brake%20Rear

I can get the low-profile ones cheaper @ summit ($767.38)

Just wondering if anyone here is running a set or have had past experiences with wilwood...
thanks for any info

Dont want a fixed caliper on the rear due to the amount of movement that a c-clip setup allows the axles to move. It can and most likely will cause pad-knockback and leave you with a dead pedal when you need them the most.

Your best bet IMO would be to get a whole rear out of a V8 car with a 3 channel ABS system (no-TCS) and just toss it in. You will get a posi unit and the disc's that you want.

Great advice man. I just figured everything up and it seems this would be the most reasonable thing to do. Now I just have to try and track one down. Anyone that knows anybody that may have one in AZ (or a couple hours from 85613 Fort Huachuca) let me know!!!
