TCS/ ASR OFF 1998 Camaro SS Does anyone know about the tcs/asr system? My asr off light is on in my dash. I checked it with a Tech 2 and found dtc co239 tcs spark retard monitoring malfunction. Help please....

sounds like a bad module. on my car it was replaced before i bought it and ASR works fine. its a common problem on the 98 at least.
its the box behind your driver side headlight.
not sure if the spark code is related or not though.

Thanks for the info BowTieDrifter. A friend of mine gave me the diagnostic flow chart from the dealer, and the circuit shows the abs/ tcs module and pcm only. He also suggested the module.

i have the same problem on my 99 camaro V6 when i turn the key to ON the ASR switch works jus fine but the momment i start the car after few a seconds the "ASR OFF" light turns on the dash and the switch doesnt work ... any suggestions or help is appreciated !
