torque arm question

so i bought a spohn adjustable torque arm for my 2002 trans am, whenever i put it in 1st gear or reverse, it sounds like its hitting the body. anyone have this problem?

are the bolts where the tq arm mount to the body mount tight?

yes. i called spohn and they said it was a common problem and the only solutions i have are to beat the **** out of the torque arm (where its hitting the body) or raise it back to stock height.

I have the same torque arm. I am lowered on the eighback pro kit and with my 10 bolt I never had this issue....

now that I installed my 12 bolt, it is hitting in the tunnel. Its rather annoying but im sure it will "dent itself" after some hard pulls.

Since you mentioned you were lowered, have you centered the rear with an adj. panhard rod?
After my 12-bolt was installed, my t/a was rubbing the body until I realized the rear was alittle off center.
