Default Koni Double Ajustables

Where/who is a reputable shop I can send my Koni D/A's out to be rebuilt. Hit a pot hole the other night and decapitated my passenger side shock. I was told it should be rebuild-able. Any know for sure?

Holy **** man. You should be able to send them back to Koni, don't they have a lifetime warranty?

I'm going to look into that tomorrow. They were bought from SLP back in 2006 and have roughly 40k on them now.

I'd call Strano, however, I'd probably call Koni first. I'm sure they have a list of people who could rebuild your shock. You could also ask them about that lifetime warranty!

I know that Chicago (which has terrible roads) gets claims all the time for damage caused by their roads. I'd go back, get some pictures of the pot hole and file a claim with the city.

I didn't think to get pictures when it happened. I'll have to go find the pot hole again as it was in a part of town I'm not familiar with.

I've left messages with both Strano and Koni. I'm probably going to switch out my Vogtlands to some Strano's while I'm at it.

I haven't had time to get near my voicemail.... I have springs in stock, and the part you broke screws onto the top of the shock and is replaceable (if Koni has the part in stock).

So they should be rebuildable? Sam do you have a reputable place I could have them rebuilt or do you possibly have a service for this as well?

The shock part is not what's broken it's a screw on part on top. You don't need a rebuild to fix that. When I need rebuilds of valving work done, I use Koni directly. But ProParts and Truechoice can also do that sort of work.

Ahh I see what your saying now. Sam would I have to order the part through you or Koni directly. If I can get it through you I'd like to place an order for a set of your springs while at it.
