Default Lowering

Ive read the noob articles etc. and I'm curious how far I should go. I'm mainly shooting for more of an agreesive, yet streetable and sensible setup at a good price. My budget is 500-600 is this too low or can it be had? In the near future I'm planning on installing a full 3" exhaust with longtubes and the car is daily driven. I drag once, MAYBE twice a month over the summer. I've heard that 1" lower is pretty good for a DD car..just want a few extra opinions..
Thanks guys

KYB AGX shocks and Strano springs is the common "budget" drop around here. Of course, you could do just springs and not shocks, but the ride will suck even worse. Koni/Strano is the most popular and will be going on my car this summer.

yeah it is doable. I got KYB adjustable front and rear shocks and Eibach pro kit with a 1.2 drop. here is what i got in mine:

front struts from tirerack: 93.00 apeice ---- 203.00 with shipping
rear shocks 100.00 bought used
pro kit was 160.00 bought used

so i got 463.00 in mine but i did the install myself.

If you're gonna be at the Dyno day i'll prolly see you there, I'm very new to Ohio LSX, be cool to meet a few guys off of the board though..off topic, oh well.

And that sounds like a nice setup, I've heard nothing but good from the Koni/Strano Setup. I'd like to go to a sponser on here if at all possible. I might call around and see if I can get a package thrown together or have something that will basically ride good.

Like I said it'd my DD right now, so I'll sacrifice a bit of non-lowerdness if need be for a better quality ride, just want a bit lower for right now

considering your budget , KYB agx and stranos would be your best bet .. although bilsteins arent too expensive over kyb's so you might want to consider that .. or if you just want a bit of lowering , go with konis and run them on the lower perch and the hose mod in the rear , it will be a bit more expensive , but you'll get the best ride and a drop.. plus you could always add lowering springs in the future ..

I like both, budget is 500-600, although that setup thats a bit cheaper is almost 100 more than I planned, it still would be acceptable, I've heard nothing but good about a strano setup..I'll have an 01 T/A, trying to get a buddy or two to come up with me and maybe bring their LS's but...that's a long shot..lol
