Best bang for the buck brakes!! Just installed the Brake Motive drilled /slotted rotors and pads and all I can say is HOLY SH*!T . The customer service was awesome , fast shipping and very nice products. The best 165 bucks ever spent. The brakes are like day and night difference compared to stock. Would highly recommend and thanks for posting all the good reveiws on the forum guys . Oh ya just follow the break in procedure that come with the pads and u will have no problems down the road.

I got everything from the Sponsor and sale specials section at the bottom part of the forum. I think the rotors are made by Powerslot and the pads are Z16 also made by Powerslot. But u can go to the section i mentioned above to see all the specifics.

....best type of rotors are blanks. more surface area, more heat dissipation.
the only things drilled / slotted is good for is looks. Slotted being the better of the two.

I just ordered these myself and am anxiously awaiting them. They look fantastic and everything that I have read about them seems top notch. I rarely drive the car so hopefully I won't have an issue with warping, cracking or excessive pad wear.
To the OP, would you mind posting up some pics of how they look installed? I'd like to see how they look on and the for sale thread didn't really have that decent of pictures.

The only thing proven in the "other" thread was that holes and grooves have a purpose on a $150,000 race car equipped with $15,000 brakes.
On a daily driver???? ... probably overkill.
It's like saying a 100 shot of nitrous is best because it allows you to pass the car in front of you faster in order to avoid a head-on collision.
A true statement, but keep it real and in perspective.

This topic has been rehashed over and over again on this site and many other automotive boards. Not really much new to add yet again.
Aesthetics can be argued forever. If you want them on your car because you think they look cool more power to you. They don't offend me to look at unlike some other mods people think make their car look cool.
As far as the topic at hand. The much simpler question of which is the best "bang for the buck" rotor is harder to answer anything but blank due to the sometimes vastly different cost, decreased thermal fatigue life, decreased pad life, but only perhaps marginal improvements in certain criteria such as initial bite and maybe cooling rate (which seems to diminish as rotor diameter increases and is offset by the higher average temps they run).

Jesus, I think the weather needs to get nicer or something. There is alot of bashing going on everywhere on this forum
Anyway I am planning on getting a set of brakes from Brakemotive. The deal is really good and if they last me a summer I will be happy, but I'm sure they will last me longer than that
