Auto-X/HPDE Suspension Set Up
Hey guys/gals,
Picking up a bone stock '98 SS and going to be prepping it for auto-x/HPDE use, in addition to street driving. I've been doing my research on 4th gen suspension set ups, and I'm curious as to which parts/manufacturers are recommended for these cars. The majority of what I've seen leads me to believe that BMR is the way to go for most of my needs; however, I'm not that well versed in these cars just yet, so I'd like the opinions of some more seasoned people.
I'm coming from a C5 Z06 which was an absolute animal at the track, and I know the Camaro isn't going to be quite the same car, but I'd like to get it set up so it's at least close. I know the typical response to any auto-x/HPDE question is "driver mod" and "seat time" but, please, refrain from those comments - I'm aware of what's needed in that category. Not saying I'm a phenomenal driver, but I can out drive this car's factory suspension, so upgrades are going to be required.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
