Default brake line size question

The master cylinder for 4th gen fbody has 2 ports with 2 different tube sizes. the furthest (closest to firewall) uses 3/16 line and the closest uses 1/4?

I'm using bubble flare adapters (dont have a bubble flare tool only double flare) and am having a hard time finding one that is m12 by 1.0 that goes to 1/4. My questions are;

-Is it necessary for it to be 1/4 and if it was 3/16 what impact would it have

-What is the difference between 6mm line and 1/4
*I think I can get a 6mm bubble flare adapter that is m12 by 1.0 and get
some 6mm line, will this work...

We have both size lines as well as OEM fittings for either lines. Give us a call if you need assistance. What are you guys trying to do anyways?
