Default Weights: Torque Arm, UMI Chrome Moly vs Stock

Replaced my stock torque arm with a UMI Chrome Moly Transmission Mounted Adjustable (P/N 2205-CM). Thought others may be interested in the weights of each. Pictures attached for clarification if needed.

Stock torque arm: 15.57lbs

Stock torque arm with hardware: 16.64lbs

UMI torque arm p/n 2205-CM: 21.17lbs

UMI torque arm p/n 2205-CM and new hardware kit p/n 3003: 22.46lbs

My car is a 2002 Z28 Manual Transmission. Are you talking about the welded sheet that spans from top to bottom in about the middle of the torque arm? It includes two fastener holes that aren't used (on my car anyway)? You can see part of it in the second picture. The first picture of just the torque arm has it positioned so this sheet is on the underside. If not, then I'm not sure which brace you're referring to.

Mark.
