Unhappy Suspension or Tire Issue? Car getting slower

Hey guys, we are at a loss on this one. We've checked and checked underneath and everything appears to be OK. What's the possible issue?

We just spent $1400+ in Afco drag suspension set-up except for the rear springs, which are stock. We have double-verified the pinion angle, and only had these Hoosier drag tires since October last year. The shocks are set properly - the front begins to raise up on launch, but in the rear the car does not raise up on the stall or squat at all, it just stays at the stock ride height and doesn't get the power to the ground. The tires spin or blow off every pass after the very first one. We also verified the stall converter and it is flashing properly. We went from 6.30s to 6.60s. What gives?

What was the DA of the 6.30?? Also did you run the car at Super Chevy show over this weekend in Ennis? The temp was 95+ outside. You sure it wasn’t the weather that caused the slower time?

The DA at 4pm was Density Altitude: 3013 feet
Relative Density: 91.48 %

How do you find out DA when you are racing? I'm not sure what this was; All test runs have been at KDale on Sundays, one day it was 80* and another day it was 70* and it ran the same number.

They have phone apps for this.

Do you have your time slip with date and time of your two pass you spoke about? If you did I could get you the info for you.

Both of the passes you spoke about 70 and 80 degrees will probably be really good DA but last Sat it was 96+ some area of DFW got to 100+ and that not even track temp.. So this slower time was probably due to hot weather.

From what I’m told for every 700 DA over it’s a tenth off your time.

If you went this Sunday just click on the time you ran your car it will tell you the DA.

Texas Raceway - Kennedale, Tx

DA at 1:53 PM 96 degrees
Density Altitude: 3232 feet
Relative Density: 90.88 %

So you can see this kills your ET

DA 7:53 AM 77 degrees
Density Altitude: 2078 feet
Relative Density: 94.06 %

Even with it being 77 degrees outside the DA still sucks.. It just Texas weather for you.
