Default vibration at the steering wheel above 45MPH

Ive been trying to chase this vibration im getting at the wheel. Its speed related but only happens while the steering wheel is pointed straight. If i turn the steering wheel slightly it goes away. It does not vibrate while braking. I thought it was the worn out tires. I replaced and balanced them and the vibration continues. Any thought?

Did you check alignment when you did the tires? That's the next likely culprit...

What wheels are you running? Are they hubcentric?

alignments dont cause vibes.

you need to check your front end parts, hub bearings, tie rods, and ball joints. etc

If it stops at higher speeds, it would be the wheel balance.

i had this problem years ago i balanced the tires, replaced tires, switched rims, then i swapped out the front rotors and the problem went away and i was not having a warped rotor issues like normal ( pulsing pedal or bad steering wheel shake when braking...

My bet is wheel bearing(s). Any weird noises?

Im with this guy.
So X2 for it being the rotors.

If u lift the car up and front is hanging...then you can grab the tire/wheel getting a good grip with both hands...pull on it outward and inward.....then yank with one hand on bottom and one on top...towards the top and vice versa.....this should give you a "feel" of how bad your wheel hubs might be.

There should be no slack or almost none....if one wheel differentiates horribly from the other then you found your problem. If there is relatively no slack on either. Then go for the rotors....if they are the stock units...then don't hesitate too much....a pair of Wagners will make those look like garbage when you sit them side to side. And at that that I am an avid fan of ACdelco and keeping your factory parts. Good luck.

Another way to check the bearings is to raise the vehicle and spin the wheel while holding the spring to feel for vibrations or grinding, the spring transmits bearing problems pretty well. And it helps because sometimes a hub bearing can wear in a way that can't easily be felt as play or looseness at the wheel.
