Yea it has been sitting at his shop waiting on the trans to be built. Got it back Friday and spent from 12 to 4 putting it in and getting the driveshaft, tq. converter, flexplate bolts etc. etc.

Tomorrow will be easy though as we got everything done but the three wires to make the tranny work with the fmvb and plugging the 2 step in and wiring the ground to the momentary switch.

I sure hope the 15" wheels slide right on from being previously clearanced by the past owner. We will see tomorrow if not I'll be on the street tires until I do!

Well we got the tranny in, flexplate/tq. converter bolts bolted up, and got the crossmember and tranny mount in.

We would of had the 3 wires needed to run the tranny (12v, ground for tc, transbrake) wired up but we were thrown off by the two sensors on the side of the tranny for ISS and OSS. I kept telling my mechanic I was almost 100% sure all that was needed to run this thing was those 3 wires for fmvb. He said yea even if thats true how is the speedo going to work so we spent the last hour we had trying to figure that out.

Come to find out the speedo gets its signal from the ABS sensor and the back up lights are wired into the shifter....DUH!!! lol, so all that needs to be done is getting the driveshaft in, 3 wires hooked up and 2 step which just plugs in and wires to the same button the transbrake does.

I've had this damn car for almost 2 months. I haven't been able to drive it but 4 days so far. I love my car and I would never get rid of it anytime soon, but when you put so much money into something over such a long period of time of not driving it just kills your spirits. If I had never driven the car it probably would of been better because I wouldn't know what I was missing

Sorry for the rant, I needed to vent that to people that would understand why we empty our bank accounts into things we can't even enjoy!!! Tomorrow I keep telling myself, tomorrow lol.

You must of gone from a 4l60e to a 4l80e then. I am using the abs sensor for my speedo to work. I think 60e cars retain the ISS and use the same foward port that the 80e does. Not 100% sure on that though. My car was a T56 so it didn't have any of the auto harness stuff.

Yea badss your car retains its ISS port since you were an auto to begin with.
