Default Aftermarket torque arm question

I have noticed that most of the aftermarket torque arms have two sets of holes for mounting. What is the reason for this? I recently bought an older chassis mounted Spohn torque arm and it only has 1 set of holes.

On the rear flange that bolts to the axle, I believe it's to allow a wider application range, for stock 10-bolts and aftermarket 12-bolt and some 9" housings.

The further out holes (first set, edge of the bracket) are for 10 bolts, the inners are for 12 bolts/9 inch.

If you look doqn the length of the torque arm, it should be perfectly parallel with the car, not angled to the side.
