Default Caps and washers

Future project I am planning is installing some stainless steel brake lines. What caps do you use to plug the line until you get the new one on? Or does the fluid not leak out fast enough to warrant a cap? I'm going to keep the lid on the master cylinder while I do the swap of course. Also, how close to the ABS module do these brake lines get? I'm going to try as all hell to not get any air in there.

I also read about using copper crush washers instead of what comes with the kits. Where is a good place to get/order the washers? Or does any hardware store do the trick? Or do the kits come with the copper washers now? I'm going to order a brake kit from Strano by the way.

Of course any other tips for this project is appreciated. Sorry for any "newb" questions. I tried a search and never replaced brake lines before. Thanks.
