Default manual rack help

After I installed my manual rack, with a bump steer kit the tie rod ends are still pointing way upwards. The car is lowered 2 inches in the front. When I was setting the alginment up and I unload the front suspension to move the lower arms in the Toe went 2.00+ per side.

Question is I thought the tie rod were supposed to be alomost level with the ground?

Do I need some longer spacers to space the tie rod end down?

any pictures? I know my rods are shooting at a slight downward angle to the tie rod ends. Im riding a bit above stock height due to weight reductions. Used one of the smaller spacers still have all the big ones off.

well now that im think about it that was with the car on jackstands and the wheels hanging. Ill have to check what it looks like with the suspension loaded if thats what you meant. But I do know that the extra spacers are for lowered cars. So ya you might need extra spacers.

uploading pic give me a few

I have two spacers that came with the kit, the larger one is between the knunkle tie rod end, and the small spacer is below the tie rod end.

I think I will have to get a larger spacer to get the tie rod level

here is mine. I ended up only using one spacer between the knuckle and the tie rod. The picture has three in between. the two spacers facing the rod end have a bevel edge so the rod can move and not rub it.

Three spacers gave me bump steer, I dropped down to one and it seems fine. Im not lowered so you might need more spacers. Also the spacers I got are all different sizes for more adjustment as well.

something looks funny about yours. Mine tucks right up and almost touches the oil pan. looking at your pictures I think its supposed to be right up under that little curve in the oil pan. mines a flaming river rack from bmr that mounts in the stock location.

Yeah but im about to lower the car once I get these rack issues worked out. So I dont know what I will need. You should be able to get some from whoever makes bump steer kits. You could probably find something at the hardware store too if you take your bolt in.

You can go as long as that bolt is. And another thing about these manual racks is that you cant turn lock to lock without rubbing the tie rod if you have wide front rims.
