Guys with procharged cars or QA1 coilovers, what front springs do you run?

I have double adjustable QA1 coil overs in the front of my car that I had bought maybe a year and a half ago that didn't come with springs. So I called QA1 and they reccomended the 300 lb front springs so I went ahead and bought them. Well they have seem a bit soft since I bought them and after playing with the Compression and Rebound on the coilover itself over and over I've never been able to find a comfortable setting.
Since installing a new iron 408 and F1-A procharger kit, I've obviously added weight to the front of the car. If I hit the slightest dip or bump in the road it sounds and feels like total hell. It's like the whole front of the car is smashing and banging on the tires and it is WAY too bad of a problem to over look so I want to switch springs to something that will help compensate with the weight and take the dips and bumps in the road a little better. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Kody

We generally recommend the 300lb springs to customers because they have a good balance for street/strip. In special cases like this, I may suggest the 325lb spring, but I have known a few people with similar combos that didn't have an issue with the spring. Since you're having some issues with the 300lb springs, maybe try the QA1 325. While it may not seem like a big jump on paper, it will certainly make a difference with the way the spring rides/feels.
Also, keep in mind, the QA1 is branded as a street/strip shock but it's really just a drag shock. It's going to ride harshly in its suggested "street" settings because that's just the way it was designed. You'll never truly find that comfort you have with a street/handling shock.

Thank you for the response. Is that the only higher rated spring they have-325 lb? Also, I am looking at finally getting my car to the track this weekend. Any suggestions on exact settings for the QA1 coil overs in the front and QA1 shocks in the rear? By the way, they are 24 way double adjustable.

Yeah, the 325 is the stiffest and we normally reserve it for big blocks, really. Either way it's still going to be a drag spring so there will always be different opinions on how they will ride on the street.
We sell a spring seat for the QA1 which will allow you to use a stock-style lowering spring or even a factory spring.
Spring Seat for QA1 Shocks $69.95

Thanks for the input guys. I'm stuck as to if I should get the 325 lb springs or try and mess with the coil over itself adjusting the compression and rebound to try and achieve the right setting. Anybody know of a suspension specialist in the Houston area

While upping the spring rate will help with the extra weight you added, its not going to get any more comfortable. If you want comfort get some good quality shocks (non dragshocks, bilstien or koni for example), you will have significantly better ride and stability (think BMW like) and still be able to launch if you set it up right. Theres a guy cutting 1.50 60fts with konis, that will ride and handle worlds better than a drag shock.
