Broken trans mount, Help on choice POLY/RUBBER

The preload plate pushes down on the two preload bumps which slightly compresses(preloads) the urethane in the trans mount. This makes the mount effectively stiffer(IMO,too stiff!), but without the plate it's only a slightly stiffer than a stock mount.
BTW, has anyone ran both the ES(without preload plate) and Prothane trans mounts, if so how do they compare?

I just bought spoon solid motor mounts (thank you Lowaggie) and going to install them and the prothane trans mount nxt week at the shop when the prothane comes in. I'm excited to see how much I'm going to love or hate my new Detroit vibrator.

I installs the prothane trans mount, decided not to do the solid motor mounts until my rubber ones give out, there almost brand new. But WOW I had no idea how much power loss a broken trans mount would cause. My car runs like a bat out of hell compared to how it was.
