He actually ordered it during our sale for 15% off and flat rate shipping, but in this case we certainly would have helped him out. Anytime a part of ours fails out of warranty, we try to help the customer out with a replacement. He didn't notify us until after he purchased the K-Member.

He did post on the 23rd that it had broke and two days later (25th) that he had ordered the replacement... prime time to contact a repeat customer and 'help him out'.

...but, hey, he paid full price (minus the same discount every other customer got) so thats all that matters, right?

Honestly, the timing was bad. It was over Thanksgiving, and since it was on my daily driver, I couldn't wait until after the holiday to try to negotiate anything like that. I ordered it online so it would get here ASAP.

Afterwards, BMR connected the dots (oh, the guy that ordered this is the same guy from ls1tech), and promised to work with me on my next purchase. Not sure they could have done more at the time.

Hey Shane, glad to hear you went back to BMR, hope it works out for you

Now my question, did you have a STB on? Will you now put one on?

Wait, you DID have a STB on? Hmm, well that's one data point that either the STB will help an old, outdated K-member last 9 years in DD application or that the STB may have prevented catastrophic failure... need more data, lol

Yup, I've had it on the entire time.

You're right, I did *not* have a catastrophic failure. :thankyouthankyou: I had a noise in the suspension that, upon investigation in my garage, turned out to be the k-member.

An interesting data point, as you say...
