Installed new shocks--clunks
I bought all new parts...new mounts, shocks, isolators, and boots/bump stops. Got everything back together and now both sides are clunking really bad over bumps. I can push the car up and down in the garage and I can hear the knocking in the tower area. Any ideas?

I did put the dogbone inside the mount. I had a shop put them together since I didn't want to mess with compressing the spring. So are you saying it's the nut on the top of the shock? Do I need to compress the spring to fix it?

Pretty sure the top nut is not tight enough. After removing the shock assembly, you should compress the spring to take the pressure off the top nut, then tighten it down. This is the only way to ensure the nut is tight enough without just hammering away with the impact gun which may or may not work as you found out already. Borrow/loan a spring compressor - this is an easy fix for you. While you're at it, grease the top nut and threads of the shock to prevent corrosion for future service.
