aftermarket upper control arms....??? Hey there....I'm entertaining the idea of doing some universal air ride shocks for the front of my '01 Pontiac Firebird. I need the double bellow air bags for the heavy V8 and may need to use some larger upper control arms to allow for the airbags to fit. Who makes some aftermarket control arms that have larger inner diameter space than factory?? Or is it possible to use some from another vehicle?? Would it be safe to grind/cut the existing control arm then weld some steel to give it a larger inner diameter space so the air bags will fit?? Suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
