Ok I'll get some photos, and yeah I lifted mine too from that bolt lol just lifted up the car. I'm prolly going to use a dremel and cut up the head of the bolt. Hopefully that works....

I myself have raised my front end about 2 feet. Sitting solid, started taking apart the other side now. Gotta support the engine now, disconnect brake line clamps, ABS sensors and motor mounts then ill drop the sub frame.. Might as well. This is a winter project for me anyways. Is I possible to support the engine from the bottom though. Seems a lot easier than strapping it from the top over the strut mounts.

Yeah no rush for me either... This is my winter project also haven't got any pics yet maybe tomorrow I can sneak out while the wife's preparing dinner and take a few Pics... Man their should be a warning about doing this kinda work, skull and crOSS bone pictogram at the bushing location hahaha!! Happy thanksgiving boys! And gals!!

Hey I don't have Internet in the house only on my phone so I don't know how to post pics on here, but I just got the bolts out! It was easy now that I know. I just burned the bushing totally out, then you heat the inner bushing sleeve mostly from the top (that's where it's rusted togather inside) then the bottom then hurry up and beat on the stud from underneath do it like 3 or 4 times and the stud will start to move up thur the sleeve. You gotta wack that stud alot and hard! Then heat the sleeve and keep doing it till its out. Let me know how it goes, I'll check back soon gd luck man!

Good stuff man! glad to hear you got it out.. Unfortunately I don't have a propane tank for my torch right now or I'd go out and try myself. I'm gonna go pick one up first thing in the morning and give it a try again. thanks for the update
BTW - what kind of bushings you putting in? I just ordered a full set of poly bushings for 150 bucks. i had bought economy bushings to replace only what i had to.. but since i have both sides all apart, decided to just do them all .. including ball joints and tie rod ends etc..

I'm sticking with moog problem solvers, I've done every thing in the rear with them and have had good results I already have the moog tie rod ends so I figured I'd the whole front with moog then get a fresh alignment. Btw get the yellow propane bottle it's hotter I think? Post up info.

So I got it out!! used standard blue tank propane. took a while, burn all the rubber out, heated the sleeve red pounded and repeat. I also did the other side, didnt even need heat. came right out!
New problem though!
I remember someone saying that you only had to remove the steering boot to remove the horizontal bolt! I did but still not enough clearance! on the driver side I removed the steering gear bolt and passenger side I undid as well but the bolt stops at the a/c compressor.. I was able to shift the rack out and inch to get it out on the driver side. but i cant move it out on the passenger side cause the bolt is still in place under the a/c compressor!!
Any tricks to this?? passenger side is ready to come out, just have to take the horizontal bolt out.
How did you end up taking yours out "hevymetalg"?

with the steering boot on the rack, the bolt will drop down but it will hit the boot and you will not get it out without jacking the boot totally up. All i had to do was remove the boot, and then tap the bolt out the rest of the way and it was done...... just wiggle it around and tap it down, thats all i needed to do.
