Dumb question...but you did break them in correctly right? Mine don't squeak at all.

After working in a parts store through high school, ill never run ceramic pads. I've seen so many ceramic sets get returned from cracking/chipping plus the noise complaint from customers and even the NAPA we did business with brought many back.

After 5 years of running only decent ceramic pads on my cars, I wouldn't run a standard pad.

Same package deal here as jarhead and I love them. No squeal or any problems after the recommended break in method which will gain you some really dirty looks lol

HAHA that's for sure....I had a good half mile ahead of the cars when I started my 45to5 stops. I could see them getting out of my lane. Then they passed as I was turning around Haha

I broke them in as recommended. Same thing with my motorcycle though - new ceramic pads, broken in, and they still squeal like a bitch. I'm just really tired of hearing "Hey man, you better get brakes soon or you're gonna tear up those nice rotors."

Had them for 6 months so far on my Camaro, no squeals and they stop great. I am fanatical about brake squeal though so I put a liberal amount of grease on the back of the pad and clips.

I've had mine for about a week and I have no squeaks to speak of. I followed proper break in procedure and everthing went well, but i guess i expected a bigger increase in stopping power

I would think you would need to do more than rotors and pads to make a huge difference, but my DEF stops better than the trashed stock set up i had.

Tires. That's about it.

It will of course depend on the pad selection. If you get a pad that is comparable to stock on tires which are comparable to stock of course it isn't going to stop noticeably faster. If you get some high torque pads with the same tires, you aren't really going to stop faster either.

Lightbulb

I have run ceramics for years, and NEVER a problem with cracking/chipping nor noises. This must depend on the brand/quality... Which brands had this problem?

So guys I was thinking about buying a set of brakemotive rotors/pads. Is everyone still happy with them? The price is so good it makes me think of cheap parts from china that will wear out fast. Anyone had any problems?

Mine seem to be good after brake-in no noise or shutter.

is there anyone whos had their rotors on their cars for a while? How are the hats holding up? Mine are all rusted and instead of pulling them off and painting them i figured I would just buy a set of these cause the deal is so good...anyone?

The rotors are coated so they don't rust. Two local guys have this rotor/pad combo and the rotors still look good.
