I don't know if they would not work per say, but they have a specific part for F-bodies with C5 brake upgrade. The lines I removed looked different, longer and did not have the 90 degree angle on the fitting for the connection to caliper. I am guessing the previous owner used what he had.

^^^ I would as you are already there and it would not be much more effort to swap lines.

I got J&M from ColoradoSpeed, at some point I will do the rears, but did not feel it was a necessity as there is more bias up front etc. I wanna say it was 70 for the fronts, the whole set would have been around 140-150 out the door.

Usually only the fronts are necessary as that is where are the braking mainly occurs. When we replaced our front rotors and did the rears at 40K miles. The rears still looked new but considering we were doing an entire swap, we just did the rears also on the 12 bolt.

I'd say get it done, do the rears and be done with it. Your lines probably are already all dried up and cracking possibly anyways. These cars ARE at most 15 years old already.

I had planned to go Techna-Fit since they are cheaper than Goodridge and J&M. Looks like J&M is the most expensive of all of them. 150 shipped Techna-fit, 160 shipped Goodridge, and 180 shipped J&M. Also, it looks like the Techna-Fit come standard coated, which I think you'd want on a street car...

Anyway, I would spend a few extra dollars on Techna-Fit or Goodridge or J&M over the Russells. Probably nothing wrong with them, but the others are all brake line companies vs Edelbrock.
So this was never answered. I'm about to buy brake lines and it's between Techna-Fit or the J&M?

Both are coated (which is my one requirement for a braided line on a street car). But do they Techna-Fit require new clips or something?

I'll bump this again. Going to pull the trigger on the Techna-Fit unless the J&Ms are really easier to install?

Looks like round vs square OEM style head. I could see how the round could be a little harder to install. Whether that is worth $40 or not is up to you.

Yeah I don't think that's worth it.
