QA1s and sportlines do not mix well. That shock is more for drag racing and those springs are just for looks. If you are set on using those springs get some bilstien shocks. Much better for every day use than QA1s. And yes I have run that combo before.

I'm sure it's been done before, but tillery nailed it. If you want to run those springs with QA1 shocks, you'll need an adapter, which we sell, for the front coilover to work with the factory-style spring.
What are you looking to do with the car? How often do you drive it? What are you looking for with your suspension parts. Maybe we can steer you in a different direction with a little more information.

my dd car.i like the way it looks and the ride is not that bad I run kbc gas ajusts right now.what I plan to do is a 76mm turbo and make one bad *** street machine since topeka is the closest dragstrip.i already have the turbo just gotta plumb it.

Since you are going to drag race it. Why not run a spring designed to help transfer the weight? I liked the QA1s when I had time to drag race. But a oil filled shock daily driving in 130 air temperature soon killed my QA1s. Strange shocks are little cheaper and has a little more robust body. And much easier to find rebuild kits for.

What else have you tried in the front?
Just had to comment because the QA1s I rode on were anything but "rock solid", they were floaty, loose and jarring all at the same time.

Put a complete set of Afco shock on the car and be done with it... you will get the correct spring to work with the front end and adjustable ride height, and externally adjustable valving that will perform very wellon the strip or the street.
Give us a call we have a sweet deal on both the Strange and Afco shocks. We can sell Strange for the same or less than QA1s and are a much better shock.
