Default Just upgraded rotors & pads, now screeching

Upgraded to BAER Eradispeeds on the fronts and PowerSlots on the rears. All with Hawk pads. Bedded and broke them in per the instructions.

Now, when driving around and after using the brakes a couple times (once they get warm), I get a screeching sound when applying light-to-moderate pressure. If more pressure is applied, the sound goes away.

By the sounds of it, it's the rears making the noise.

What is it?

The nature of performance pads. They bite, really hard.

Ever pay attention to race coverage in the pits when cars come in and stop? Notice how the brakes squeek really loud? Same thing.

Hmm. Why only the rears?

Could be brake squeal. Did you use antsqueal on the backing plates and wearpoints.

My rear Hawk HP+ squeal (howl) terribly when I'm on the brakes and turning (at all). They are really bad after they are warmed up.

I don't mind the noise. I just dont like the fact that my Carbotech Pads were much better than my current Hawks. If the car stops, I'll deal with the noises.
