Poorman suspension set up as far as springs/shocks

Is there a write up on here about using a poormans method for shocks and springs? My buddy says that there is a write up somewhere sayin that u can use iroc shocks and springs and use them on a 99 fbody and that they will make a good strip/ track shock

HUH? The fronts are completely different, they won't even work. The rear springs are pretty much what you have (actually stiffer, which isn't what you want) with just a different type of crappy rear shock.

poor mans set up is
cut 1 coil on all springs, and heater hose mod in the rear...
however,if you do it, plan on it being a temp.set up
i can get a better pic tomorrow... however, the car hasnt fully settled yet, itll be a little lower

however, just a fair warning, with my car, the rear sat lower than the front after doing the heater hose mod...
so i left the heater hose on the spring, and even put the rubber isolators on top of that... so now it has a nice squat to it
however, i plan on going to a set of sams springs with slp shocks soonish
