F-Body with CTS-V Calipers 14" Rotors and 17" rims
Many of us are always asking about this but nobody has any real answers until now. In order to install the CTS-V Calipers onto 98-02 F-Body first follow the STICKY CTS-V BRAKE INSTALL, after that in order to use my 17" C4 ZR1 wheels 17x9.5 with 56mm offset there is grinding that needs to be done to the calipers so they wll fit inside the wheel. First thing you will need is some form of grinder, I used tools pictured, cutoff wheel with 3" rough disc and 5" medium disc.
Parts & part #'s used
CTS-V Calipers 89047726-&-89047727
Z06 14" Rotors 19121787
GM Brake Pads 89047725
NAPA Wheel Studs 641-2169
1/4" Wheel Spacer
As nice as the calipers look you gotta grind them so they will clear. Remove the high points on the top of the calipers making them flush in the center, along with a bevel on the outer edge
Here is a photo of one completed next to an original
I also removed any scrape markes on inside of rim where the caliper touched during test fiting, no grinding was needed on the rim, it was only scuffed clean and smooth. The diameter I measured on the inside of the rim where the caliper is closest to the wheel is 15-3/4" or 400mm.
After grinding the caliper and test fitting with the 7mm spacer I finally made the clearance needed for the 17" rims to clear the caliper and bolt to the hub. Since the spacers used are not hub centric and can move freely I drilled them along with the rotor, tapped the rotor and installed some flush bolts. when drilling the spacer you will need to countersink the top part of the hole for the bolts to be flush with rotor
After everything clears put some paint back on the grounded area to prevent rust and away you go. Good luck with your build!!
*Other known wheels that will clear*
17x11 ZR1 wheel with 50mm backspace, no spacer is needed

Thanks for doing this mod. I have been wanting to do something with those calipers on my car, but never knew if it would fit or not. Now that I see it will work, I will definately be looking for some calipers.

I had to use a 7mm spacer and install longer studs, as for the wheel specs all I know is they are factory C4 ZR1 rims. I dont know the back spacing off the top of my head

I didnt grind the wheel just made it smooth, my wheel had minor casting bumps that I smoothed out, the back spacing of the wheel determines weather you have to use a spacer or not. I used a 7mm spacer.

do u think 17" Fikse mag wheels will fit with the ctsv calipers? the fikse mags are just like the FM-5 but the spokes are wider
also what about a set of the ctsv calipers for the back??

thats awasome, the problem is i wouldnt want to use any wheel spacers my Fikse wheels sit perfect on the car, i wouldnt want to move them out at all i wouldnt like the look.
what size/kind of caliper does the CTS-V use in the rear, Is it the same size 4 piston caliper??
my friend has a 07 STS-V cadi with those calipers and they are nice, i wonder if i can keep my stock size slotted rottors since thy only have 5,000 miles on them

Remember as you wish, but what I just did required no brackets, I mounted them as per the sticky at the top of this section and then went to town with the grinder. The bracket probably repositioned the caliper lower so no grinding was needed.
