Default Newbie help, rear spring/shock setup

Well last week i bought 4 new springs for my SS (ebay 1.8 drop) but the back sits lower then the front and is riding like sh*t, banging the bump stops on ever little bump in the road. I bought replacement shocks (monroe i believe) from pepboys for the back and kept the stock bilsteins up front. But the back is still slamming on little bumps with any weight in the car. Is there something i can buy to raise the back up without buying new springs? An what would you suggest for shocks? Thanks in advance for the help.

Do you know what the spring rates are for those springs? Brand name? You need shocks that are built for lowering springs. I'm guessing the Monroe's are right off the shelf? The "stock" shocks just can't handle lowered springs. I have the Koni's but there are a few choices that are cheaper. Sorry no experience with any of them.

Did you reuse the isolators? Shock should not be a reason for hitting the bumpstop. Either the spring is too short, no isolator was used or the spring rate is too soft. I agree that monroe shocks are junk. Bilsteins are good too, prefer Koni but the Bilsteins are more than adequate.

Stock bilsteins? Didn't they stock come with those junk DeCarbon shocks? Mine did (don't have the car anymore)

I think the SS came with Bilsteins. Maybe it was an option?

I had Bilsteins on the car but they were weak(63k miles) There were no isolators for the springs, when I bought the car it had aftermarket springs on the back already(probably the reason the shocks went bad). The monroe's were off the shelf and I'm not sure about the spring rate. Is there a spacer i could buy to replace the missing isolators? I will buy a pair of Bilsteins and junk those monroes.

I'd give you some but I'm in the Netherlands so shipping would be insane.
