Lightbulb New! Prototype lower VT spring seat isolators!!

I think many of you are familiar with my upper isolators I had made theyve been a fun experience and I havnt had one negative feedback on them yet. I had a few inquiries on lower spring seat isolators.

I spent about the last 2 weeks working out a design that wouldn't raise the height much at all, and specified a rubber designed to handle a LOT more weight so there would t be an issue with wear as I know the spring usually only sits on half it's coil.

WHY?

Well it's been in my head eve since I designed the isolators for my ss that I hated having to sit brand new powdercoated springs on a rusted axle. This will basically protect your pretty springs (white stranos!!) while adding a little nvh properties to the suspension in the rear.

Anyhow here's my expensive prototype.. I have to Verify measurements and fitment still (sigh I wish I had my ss still)...

^ Those look almost like brass lol! What is the height of the rubber that the spring will be sitting on? Very interested in these!

Yeah most likely it's the light making it look yellow. The thickness of the area the spring sits in was reduced as thin as possible I would have to guess 1/8 th of an inch. Ill get calipers and check thickness.

I'll have to test fit these on someone's car that's local to me as I sold my ss.

I was hoping they could be made 1/4 inch thick or so... Is this possible?

Ill try to get a caliper on them to check exact thickness. Theyre going to be very close to 1/4 inch for sure but the caliper will tell for sure. I would imagine though most people will want them as thin as possible.

I'd buy these, because I too dislike putting my springs on the crusty rear end.

i actually want them thicker too. at least 1/4"!!

need to raise the rear of the car, and these should be much less expensive than ground control adjustable rear perches!!

send a pair on down to me, and i'll check fitment for you!!

Im going to have to ask someone local for a test fitment. Been crazy busy with weather warming up and 2 tiny ones.. !!! Will do my best to arrange with someone local for this weekend possibly.

Measurement wise they look spot on. I'll try to get a caliper to check thickness I keep forgetting !

Were you out of upper isolators? If so, any plans to make more?
