Default ? on pressing in front lower control arm bushings

1995 Camaro.
I saw when I removed the old bushing shells from the front lower control arms (front bushings) that it was not pressed in all the way. Had poly bushings.
Flanges were not up against control arm.
Is there any way to set these at the proper depth without using the GM special tool?
I am replacing the polys with Moog replacement rubber bushings.

Also does the front lower control arm rear bushing press in with flange against control arm?
I would think so as the weight of the car is pressing down on these.

A "c-clamp style" ball joint press will do the job, if carefully tapping them in with a hammer won't work.

I think I just used our press and just pushed on the center of the bushing with either the old bushing on top or just a flat round piece of metal the same size as the bushing until it was where it needed to be. Its been a while since I did it but I'm pretty sure that's how I did mine and they turned out fine.
