Stranos, Lower Perch, HH Mod
Here's a pic of my buddy's WS6 with Koni SA's set up as in the title. While some have warned against using the lower perch, he really loves the look and is super-happy with his set-up: "hasn't hit the bumpstops yet." I have to say that I am really surprised at how well it rides. When I drove it, I braced myself for a bone-jarring thrash over the rough spots, but it is surprisingly comfortable. The ride is MUCH better than with his previous Eibachs positioned conventionally.

It would be late next week before I could get over there and do it, but I'll ask him to. The car's in storage right now and he's pretty busy, so it might be a few days.

From purely a performance perspective, does running it on the lower perch help or hurt? I'm about to install my SA's with a set of BMR springs and was considering this with the HH mod as well. My car isn't a DD. It's just my summer weekend toy that I use to drag, and road course race with a hand full of times during the summer. Anyone have a thought?

Although... he has been on the bumpstops.. you can't not be. But it goes to show that a properly thought out combination of spring rate, height and damping means you don't slam onto them like. This are, well... damped.

For those that asked, it's 25.75 front and 26.75 rear. By contrast, my Formula with stock springs, lower perch and HH mod is 26.5 front and 27.5 rear.

Thanks for posting. I just picked up stranos (havent installed fronts yet) and am also at 26.75 in rear with heater hose. Makes me wonder what the stranos in the front are on the upper perch.

Wow your front is .75-1.00 inch lower than mine which I"m running on the upper perch and my rear with stranos but on stock isolator. I'm happy with the rear but wouldn't mind another half inch drop in front.
Here is mine
DF- 26.75 PF- 26.50
DR- 27.00 PR- 26.75

Yep, the lower perch typically gives about a .75" drop. If you're doing the HH mod in the rear, you've really got to use the lower perch to give the car some rake. Some people have complained about Stranos giving their car "reverse rake". It's really that these cars need some rake to look right. Both my buddy's car and mine sit 1" higher in the rear and that looks just about right.

The reason I was curious about ride height with this is I'm replacing eibachs with stranos. I love the look of eibachs but not that it can't handle passenger weight. I was hoping to accomplish similar stance with the stranos and from the sounds of it I'm not far off. I heater hose the stranos on the rear and got it right at what the eibachs were.
My measurements on eibachs (on the car when I got it)
Front 26.5
Rear 26.75
Here it is on eibachs
Strano on rear with Hh. Haven't done front. Hope they will be close to sscamaroburn02 s car.
26.75
Here it is with the current setup (not that I suggest mixing springs, it's only until I get the time to do the fronts)
I like mine pretty level.
