Anyone using founderss or j&m that actually noticed it stiffen the steering or smooth anything out or are those two basically just dress up. I want it to look good and actually have some functionality out of it too

I disagree. My strut tower brace allows me to make quick, asshat-like lane changes at 70 miles an hour with more control.

Hey guys. Sorry for the late reply. We've been prepping cars for Carlisle, PA.
The CrMo version does save around half a pound (one wall thickness thinner on the tubing).
Fitment is usually great but we have to be careful when using non-standard intakes.
There's always the brace-or-not-to-brace question but there's no doubt it's one of the first mods many of us do when beginning the hot rod journey. At the very least they make a good way to support the engine when installing a UMI k-member...

I wouldn't say there's a HUGE difference in handling when you install a STB, but I honestly think my steering firmed up.

Just kidding.
Has anyone ever measured across the fenders for movement?
Seems like all the front end stress is applied to the K-member before transferring. I don't see a case for stress flexing that area. Anyone got any science on this?
