front shock boots
So this past weekend i installed lowering springs and shocks on my bird but i forgot to put the shock boots on would this cause a problem. From my understanding they just keep the road grime off the shock. Also would it raise my car a little bit if i put them back on because my tires are tucking under the fender thanks for your help.

Heh, I didn't have the boots nor the bump stops on my 98. I didn't even pull the boots off the old shocks to know the stops existed That was a while ago. Now those shocks got transferred over to my current 99 so I still have no front bump stops.
I'm a little surprised that the new shocks didn't come with all the shock hardware like stops and boots, actually. The boots on the old decrapons were in bad shape and nasty looking anyway. The new shocks for my Trailblazer came with boots and everything preinstalled.

Didnt know they had bumpstops in them live and learn only problem is i bottomed out my shocks so much they were blown by the time i put them back on so i just used the stock ones with the boot and bumpstops now car ride is firm and more enjoyable time for new shocks though
