Default Problem with G2 Torque Arm

Well, I got this brand new G2 torque arm here and I am having a lot of trouble getting the shaft to go into the rod bearing. I went ahead and removed all of the powdercoating from the shaft, cuz I figured that it shouldn't be there anyway, and polished the shaft to a mirror finish, but it still won't go in there. I know it should be a tight fit, but this will require a 3 lb hammer and a block of wood to get it seated.

I have lubed it with dry graphite and it helped a little, but then it seizes up and I have to start over. Anyone have any tips?

Same as above here - mine slid in easily. I would call and talk to Lou or Louis as mitch suggested.

Well he has a point ... it would take you less time to do that than ship it back for a replacement.

Is there a burr or something on the shaft? How about the spherical bearing?

I agree, I would rather not ship it back...it took nearly 12 weeks just to get this one.

There aren't any irregularities on the shaft or the bearing, the shaft is just too large to fit into the bearing at this point. I will grind on it over the course of the next week until it fits. It just sucks to wait that long for a premium part, only to find out that it doesn't fit together.

I can drive my car now, though. I went to the local junkyard and snagged a stock torque arm several weeks ago.

Got it on there today. Turns out there was a tiny, tiny, tiny piece of slag from welding the bearing to the mount that was stuck inside there. I sanded it down with the Dremel and she slides freely now.
