Someone didnt grease the inside of the shock mount

I'll even drill holes through the engine bay into the shock mounts so I can re-grease every so often

Holy crap it did break the metal. Even my stock ones on my 98 that were really really rusty were still intact. Were those moog isolators? I wonder if the moog isolators are thinner metal. Their mounts are good but this does make me wonder about the isolator.

You'll need new mounts too for sure. Rock Auto is the place - $50 bucks per mount, $5 per isolator. Win.

May I see a pic, I'm thinking of doing this also;

so the grease stays in the shock mount cavity and doesn't leak out (down the shock)...?

May break again ^ but keep your fingers crossed.

If it does break, get GM

The one from Autozone is junk and they can and do break even with the isolater

Amen, I'm going to order new mounts and isolators with my new struts and springs! Might as well do it right and put it to bed

Does anyone have the part number for the rubber insulator wedge that goes in the top?
