Default Coil Spring Compressor OOPS

I bought a coil spring compressor from eBay a week ago for what I thought was a good deal. Well it turns out that what my dad told me when I was a kid is true "you get what u pay for" that damn thing broke into about 7 pieces and shards of metal lodged in my forehead. So don't buy a cheap compressor from eBay

I cut a shock in half one time (without using a compressor) just to see what would happen, and yes it was in a vise. WOW did the baby Fly. lmao

A someone posted a thread about cheap Chinese-made products in the Racer's Lounge section but it unfortunately got shut down. This is a SERIOUS problem with cheap/substandard/counterfeit stuff. A spring compressor, jacks and jackstands, and electrical stuff aren't things to scrimp on. I'm guilty of buying some of cheap stuff from places like Harbor Freight or even eBay, but not stuff that could potentially cost me injury or my life. Even is the stuff is Chinese made, I try to buy it from reputable/major retailers like Sears, HD, etc.

But like posters stated above...
