I use to do a lot of race car style alignments when I worked there and the people there are comfortable with anything you bring. Also, they have two in-ground style alignment machines so it won't matter if the car is low.
The tech that you ran into was probably just frustrated because it was beyond his skill level or experience. He probably tried to get all of the adjustment out one side of the control arm and called it a day. I can't blame him for wanting to be fast but that's not how every alignment goes. He should try how I have done it using a K-member with no slots and just the rod end for adjustment. After taking the control arm off several times and having to reset the machine he would have committed suicide.

Post up a shop address and contact info. I may try a local place to at least get my alignment back to stock, after I wacked a curb showing off a while back. Once I get a round of mods done, I'd gladly bring it down to you guys.

about my setup and wanting custom alignment specs.
The guy seemed to feel a need to test-drive my car a
lot, during the work. Just to be sure it was right, I guess.

I've been going here for a few years. I have fully adjustable rear suspension (with a 9" rear) and they have never had a problem. The shop owner does all the alignments himself.

In South East Pennsylvania. Given my ridiculous suspension set up they didn't even flinch. They deal with all kinds of setups.
