Default car sits 1inch higher on driver side

doesnt matter what springs i use my driver-side sits 1inch higher then the pass-side

i know this is a problem with these cars

will the hose mod on the driver-side lower the car an 1inch?? or is there a "FIX" people are doing??

wonder if this is caused by the battery? Try re-locating it to the trunk.

Hey, my old '98 V-6 Camaro did that and it drove me crazy! I never did try to investigate the problem — I simply traded it in for my 2002 Z28RS which, thank God, hasn't sagged.

However, I did see that you've experimented with springs; have you checked your rear passenger-side shock absorber to see if it's bad? Also, if you have adjustable rear end links like I installed on my car, it may be that you need to inspect them for proper height adjustment.

Finally, if your problem has nothing to do with your shock absorber or adjustable rear end links, you may simply consider removing your spare tire and see whether or not that makes a difference.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck, dude!

Shocks have about 40k on them and Have no spare in my car, springs are brand new out the box (bmr), had profit before and did the same

Some People say its the rearend if you search tech but I have a 9inch so that counts that out

Everything is set right, the only thing it could be is maybe the shocks but I don't think they are

Try swapping the shocks to the opposite side and see if the problem moves with the shocks.

I will try that but in don't think its the stocks bc the pass-side doesn't sit low, It sits at the right hight for the springs i have, the driverside is the one thats higher, almost looks factory hight on the diver side

Going to do the hose mod (on diver side) since the shocks have to come off anyways

When you put the springs in, did you make sure they sat in the "groove" in the top rubber mount?

My car does the same thing. Sits higher on driver side, mostly on the rear tire. Did that with stock shocks and springs, and did that with brand new Strano springs and SLP Bilsteins... with spare, without spare, doesnt matter. Gutted interior, full interior, no difference. No idea why that is. I'm gonna look at removing the rubber isolator but I may need a panhard bar to move rear over a tiny bit...think its SLIGHTLY offcenter due to the lowering springs but hard to tell.

Yes I have done all that to, I have Bilsteins shocks as well and a adjustable Phb

I hope the hose mod lowers it enough to make a diff, I really don't want to have to cut the spring but I'm running out of ideas lol

My car does the same. With all new susp. and heater hose mod on both sides.
I don't think there's anything you can do. I've read that some think it's to compensate for the driver's weight......

well if you have the hose mod on both sides then your right back at square one, you need to do the hose mod on just the driver side, keep the rubber isolator on the pass-side

iv heard the drivers weight thing to but them why doesnt all the cars do this?

Wow, it sounds like you've been thorough, man! Back to the adjustable rear end links: I can literally raise and lower my car's rear at each corner (increase/decrease wheel well gap) by adjusting mine. I bought my set from LS1Tech.com sponsor UMI Performance. You may consider researching these end links and, if you think they'll meet your needs, investing in a set. With the amount of adjustability that mine offer, I'm certain that you could lower the driver side a half-inch and raise the passenger side a half-inch and have the car sit perfectly.

That's just my opinion and I'm just some guy on a message board; does anyone else have any thoughts or comments about adjustable end links that could prove useful to the OP?

can you link me to the ones you have?

when you say "end links" are you referring to the rear control arms?? bc the only "end links" i know of that are back there are the bushing that hold the sway bar to the car

Shocks don't set ride height.....period. No ifs, ands, or buts

Almost all these cars do this. I bet when you sit in it, it is level

If you do a search on this subject, you may change your opinion. Tons of leaning cars out there.

Too bad it is. Over half the cars I've delt with have had a noticeable variance in ride height from side to side. It's a unibody car. There's going to be body twist. Not saying that's the only known factor but it definitely attributes.

As far as the shocks statement, no. Shocks do not affect ride height, unless you have a coilover lol.

And also, having a 9" could potentially be your culpret. I've seen 2 9" rears from 2 different manufacturers that have welded the tabs on wrong. Nothing crazy, just a slight misplacement affects it greatly.

Hope you figure out your problem. My car was about 1/2" off and I went coilovers. haha!
