Lower a-arm removal (front) - Need help
I just started my suspension overhaul on the 95 Z28 and ran into a problem. It was also getting late here so I just went inside to ask here before I go to sleep.
I started in the front, passenger side. I have removed everything but the a-arms and I'm replacing them with BMR lowering ones. Is there a trick to get the front bolt out without removing the steering rack? If so, how? If not, please tell me the removal is straightforward lol.

When you take the tie rod off the spindle you can just pull it back. The rack is only two bolts and you can move it a lot without unhooking the lines. I have mine off replacing my k-member now.

**** those things. My two vertical ones were seized so badly I eventually just gave up. Two came out easily, but the other two didn't budge no matter what we did. K-member was out of the car, stripped of everything except the control arms. A hammer, Pry bar, PB Blaster, swearing, nothing helped.
Eventually, just gave up and used the spare K-member and arms I had. Hit the old seized rubber bushing, on the control arm/K-member combo I was getting rid of, with the torch, just because it became personal.
As for sliding the horizontal ones out, as the person above said, turning the wheel to the left will free up some room. If not enough, then just slide the rack forward for a moment; It's only two bolts.
