hooking problem
Alright so I can't get my car to hook no matter how easy I take off on it. Just want some opinions on what to add to my suspension set up to make it 60 ft better at the track. This is what I have full umi front suspension, adj tq arm, lca, phb, lcab,tq arm relo crosmember. I know I need some better shock and springs as I currently run eibach front springs with regular kyb shocks in the front. Back I have stock springs with the hose mod and bilstein shocks. Tire setup is littles and bigs run a 275-50-15 mt drag radial. Beat 60 ft wo far had been a 1.5 but could not duplicate it again.

1.5 is not bad... what did you do differently that one launch? i was told if you are having
trouble launching get bia ply tires.. they will take more of the pressure off the car and put it in the sidewall... for suspension i will let the others fill in that one.. lol

Is the car a manual or auto car? What kind of power does the car make to the tires? Too many unanswered variables to really be able to help you out too much. Give me a little more information and I will see what I can recommend for you.

For some reason I passed over that and didn't even notice it.
Do you have lower control arm relocation brackets and where is the torque arm mounted on the torque arm relocation crossmember? A good set of drag shocks and springs will really help you out considerably and would be where I would go next. Honestly a 1.5 60ft is pretty good for the mods you have for anything better you may also have to step it up on the converter to.

Did you ask the guys in the drag racing section this question? The quality of response you will get there as opposed to here will likely be light years better. More people there who actually know what they are talking about

When you are launching are you hooking or you just blowing the tires off and spinning? As far as drag shocks go it really comes down to your budget. I persoanlly like Strange shocks because they are affordable and do the job for 99% of people. I just finished up a super budget setup not too long ago with Strange single adjustable front shocks with Hypercoil 300lb springs and cheap Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable rear shocks and it is cutting low to mid 1.3x 60ft times but the car make good power and has all the other supporting parts to make it all work.

It's loading/unloading the rear tires too fast. It plants them, then the weight shifts right back off and they spin. I know the cause, but don't want to really give a solution since with basically my only experience dealing with suspension changes is reading on the internet. Lol
