yessir, alot of people cut the bump stops, and air ride makes some airbags for our cars, that most people put in their cars to help with antiroll.

do you think the air bags will help prevent the car from bottoming out? i assume so although i'm sure their intended use isnt for bump stop replacement. I just need more room for these 315s.

I have a bunch of buddies and know a bunch of people who have cut the bump stops out and not had any issue with the car bottoming out. Now most if not all of these were on drag cars or more drag oriented cars so you may want to look into a bit more if you are doing more handling oriented stuff. On my 99 T/A I cut the bump stops off when I fit my C5 Z06 wheels on the car and I never once had an issue over 100k miles but the car was riding at the factory ride height using factory springs.

I have stock Springs and koni SAs. Pretty much a daily driver that goes to the strip a few times a year.

On my former Camaro, I cut the bump stops off since they were getting a bit too friendly with my wheels, and bought some bump stops that slid on the rear shock shafts. Seemed to work just fine, and were much less harsh than the stock configuration.
