Default Torque arm adjustable or non-adjustable?

So long story short, my torq arm is broken right where it mounts to the rear end. This is the last stock suspension piece I have, so I figured it's time to go aftermarket. Now my question is should I buy the adjustable or the non-adjustable one? I don't have a clue how to adjust it,and don't want to end up with an improperly adjusted torque arm, but at the same time the adjustable must be better, right? It is only a $60 difference in price, so the money does not matter. What should I buy?

Also what brand do you think I should go with? The only website I checked out was UMI just because I usually have good luck with them.

Since I assume your car is lowered from your signature I would run the adjustable torque arm. The change in ride height will effect the pinion angle a bit and having the adjustable torque arm will allow you to fine tune the pinion angle. If there is something we can help you out with let me know.

Thanks for the response Kyle. My next question is how does the bmr differ from the other brands? I need to order one tonight and I don't want to regret my decision.

If your lowered get adjustable for sure! I just installed a umi tunnel mounted adjustable TA. Fit was perfect.
A lot of people prefer a long arm over the short tunnel mounted one. If you get a standard length arm I'd get a relocation cross member to get the TA off the Trans.

Lots of info on here trying searching around and reading reviews.

Good morning.

If you already have our T/A relocation kit (THANKS!), you could use our adjustable 2205 along with the 3003 bolt kit.

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=130

The 2205 comes with the bushing and will fit right in your relo bracket up front.

Have a great day.

with all the good suspension parts you have a adjustable torque arm would compliment them.

The one place our torque arm is better then the rest is in the mounting bracket. Our mounting bracket is designed and braced a little different then the rest so it will pretty much take anything you can throw at it. As long as you get a good quality torque arm you shouldn't have any issues with it down the road.

Give me a call here at the shop and I will see what I can do or you on pricing of a BMR adjustable torque arm.
