if your only wanting a stiffer more sporty suspension go with upgraded springs bushings etc if u want it to sit low go with air. u could prolly put airride front and rear on that for $2000. u can still get a sporty suspension with air and for less then 9k but if your not worried about it sitting super low its not really worth it.
it was 1200 to do my caddy but i used the factory four link where as you would have to build a link setup for the elky.

That $2300 (sans duty and shipping) set up includes shocks and lowering springs :p. Id just need a bushing kit for the chassis stuff

You are comparing apple to oranges here. What are you wanting to do with the car?

The UMI parts will make the car feel better than new, it is a decent setup if you wanted to get into some competitions for fun, the suspension will be firm.

The RideTech kit will make you car handle better than the UMI kit, it is more adjustable, it will ride smoother and be faster because you would have the ability to tune the suspension. And you get the benefit that your suspension can raise and lower to get over speed bumps and steep driveways.

If money is no object then get the RideTech kit, if you are on a budget then get the UMI kit. I personally would save for the RideTech kit, but that's just my .02
