Are you trying to put the ls brakes on a lt spindle? If so they say you have to use the ls spindle or modify the lt . I have never done the job so that's all I can help. If for some reason they are different I have a set of calipers off a Ls1 car for sale.

Well from what I hear you either have to mod the lt spindles or run ls spindles to get it to work.

93-97 brakes and 98-02 brakes are not the same, like said above you gotta switch spindles to make them work. I don't think you can even swap brake pads between them. I'm sure rotors, calipers and spindles are different.

That's your problem. You can't put LS calipers on LT spindles. The spindles are different. What you read was right, no difference in the brakes on the 98+ V6 and V8 cars.
