New tires, car handles worse, any ideas?

I'm in the same boat as you ... with the stock 16s. If I were to do it again I would have gotten the BF Goodrich G-Force Sports. I had those before the Firestones. I recall the side walls being firmer. The only negative was the road noise seemed kind of high ... but with my Flowmaster and 10" sub, I wouldn't hear them anyhow.

True that there are many more tires to choose from in the 17s .... I may get some 17s or 18s next time I get tires.
