Default 1998 Ebcm question

I have a 98 Trans am that has TCS with a bad ebcm, does it matter what one I use? Can I swap it with any other year with or with out TCS?

It has to be either TCS equipt or not.
The traction control is actually refered to as a EBTCM & non is a EBCM.

I *think* the 98 EBTCM is 98 only like a lot of things on 98 model years.
It's a 12453253

So a 2001 non TCS will not work in a 98 TCS car?

Is there a way to tell a difference between them?

No it will not.
Has to be the part number above to work in a 98 TCS car.
The number on the module itself is the best way to tell the difference between them.

Where is the part number on the EBCM, so I can match it to a junk yard pull?
The OEM ones I've seen are all Bosch, whats the bosch PN?
I can't drop 600-1200 on a new AC delco part.

Just to confirm
The 98 ebtcm when disconnected has 6 plugs on the inside and the 99-02 ones have 10 of the plugs on the inside, correct?
