C5 conversion questions

C5 conversion questions Ok I have a 1999 Z28 camaro I couldn't find all the answers I was looking for so I think I'll just ask them all here. First of all I have the C6 vette wheels on now (17" front 18" rear) I don't know if that will play a factor in any of this or not but thought I'd add it. Is there any place I can just order the whole kit and be done with it or do I need to hunt everything down? I see UMI has a front caliper mount thats a decent price but thats all that comes with it. So if there isn't a complete kit wheres a good place to find c5 calipers front/rear and slotted rotors? And lastly I don't see a caliper mounting kit for the rear so does the c5 calipers and rotors just bolt right up with no modifications? Thank you
and the C5 brakes for the front only, there is no need to put that large of a brake on the rear and not to mention if your still maintaining the ABS that would really screw up your braking bias even more.
It's a moot point to run C5 rear brake calipers as they are virtually the same.
Just run the front C5 brake kit with SS braided lines, semi metallic pads, good DOT 4 brake fluid and you are set.
If you don't like brake dust on your front wheels stick with ceramic pads.

The install is pretty easy, you do need to cut the spindle but it is simple. The 98-02 brake lines are usually long enough, I recommend to install them and turn the wheels both ways to double check. If you need longer lines buy 97-04 Corvette front lines. Other than that the kits have everything.
